The following is the definition of the class levels. Click on the underlined link to find out when that class level is currently offered.
Fast Track - This class is for dogs just beginning to learn dog agility. The class is designed to find a balance between having Fun and Exercise with your dog as well as Training for Competition. Click here for more details about this class.
Fast Track Level 2 - This class is for dogs ready to advance to the next level. The focus of this class is to raise the A-Frame and prepare the dogs to move into a Pre-Novice class.
Pre-Novice - This level is for dogs that are not quite ready for competition. Usually there will be one or two obstacles that still need to be refined.
"Refine" means to improve the dog's performance on equipment that they have been previously introduced to. To be considered refining their performance, they should be around 80% of the way to performing the obstacle confidently on their own. This class level is not appropriate for dogs that are not ready to attempt a straight set of 6 weavepoles in class. The Fast Track is a great class for getting assistance with helping to introduce and train your dog on equipment that is new to them.
Novice - This class level is for dogs competing in Novice Standard in AKC, USDAA or level 3 in CPE. Open - This class level is for dogs competing in Open/Advanced Standard in AKC, USDAA or level 4 CPE. Excellent - This class level is for dogs that have earned an Excellent or Advanced Standard leg in AKC, USDAA or level 5 CPE. Masters - This class level is for dogs that have earned a Master Standard leg in USDAA.
