Dog Agility Quiz - Answer key
American Kennel Club (AKC) Agility FAST Rules - part 2

Which of the following statements is/are true?

1)  1) The SEND

      B)may be bi-directional

Do not assume that the SEND is bi-directional.  If it does not state it on the course map, assume that it is not, or ask the judge in the briefing if it is.

2) You accumulate points using the SEND obstacles..

       B)during your SEND
C)in addition to getting the 20 point bonus for the successful SEND

3) Refusals count

B)as soon as your dog performs the first obstacle in the SEND.

This is important to remember if your dog has a hard time with the start of the SEND.  As long as they did not completet the first obstacle in the SEND, you can set them up and try it again.  You need to complete the SEND to qualify so it is worth your effort to give them another good attempt at doing it successfully.

4) There will be 6 one point obstacles. The one point obstacles

     A)are always winged jumps.
C)can be taken more then once, but not back to back.
D)can be taken from any direction.

Also the maximum number of points that can be earned on the one point obstacles is limited to 6 points.

5) The time penalty is

A)One point deduction for every full second over Standard Course Time (SCT)
B)One point deduction for every full second over SCT in Novice

D)One point deduction for every  full second over SCT in Excellent

All of the answers are true. It is the same penalty for each level.
